How is the Powder Meister installed?

Due to the difference in the way air is delivered to the handpiece delivery system, the European installation of the Powder Meister is different than it is in other countries.

Because of the high use of electric handpieces in most European countries, the air supply to the handpiece delivery system is either all the way on, or all the way off. Because the Powder Meister utilizes the air supply of the handpiece delivery system, the air to the Powder Meister is all the way on, or all the way off. It is critical that the air supply to the Powder Meister be reduced with air flow restrictors. The following photopraphs illustrate this installation.

Dr. Horst Michael Birkhoff has come up with an efficient way of hooking up to a handpiece hose. The blue hose has been looped through the Powder Meister's air restrictor valve to allow the Powder Meister to be hung from the dental unit when not in use.
