Advantages

Dr Mark Morin recently called the All-New Powder Meister the best powdering device in the world.

We agree with him.

We are pleased and excited to announce the arrival of the All-New Powder Meister. While retaining the ergonomic advantages of the original instrument, the All-New Powder Meister provides a breakthrough in ease of use and predictability for both the experienced and the inexperienced CEREC user.

Several breakthroughs provide unparalleled ease of use and predictability:

  • The powder nozzle has been completely redesigned. It still retains the patented design that allows for easy change of direction of powder flow. This feature is extremely helpful in those difficult clinical situations where access is difficult. However, the nozzle now allows for total control of powder flow though the use of the new Instant-Off (patent pending) mechanism. Pull the nozzle back and powder flow is initiated. Release the nozzle and powder flow stops! It's that easy!
  • We have added a built-in air restrictor. This air restrictor, which is now part of the air-line filter, automatically reduces the incoming air pressure of the dental unit to precisely the right amount for optimum powder application. No manual adjustment of air pressure is needed! Just pull the nozzle back for optimal powdering every time.
  • A built-in filter removes air-line moisture.
  • The new smaller bottle allows the Powder Meister to easily fit all hand sizes.

Here is what they are saying about the All-New Powder Meister:

I just tried the All-New Powder Meister... amazing what an improvement. I can't recommend it enough. Fine spray and good control.

Dr. Bryan Shanahan

Congratulations to Dr. Shanahan for being featured in Dental Economics in both November and December of last year!

"You have now reached the same excellence with the All-New Powder Meister that we strive for in treating our patients with Cerec.

The All-New Powder Meister really handles well and gives me a smooth, fine powder coat without any clogging at all. I especially like the new angle of the nozzle which gives me good access to virtually any tooth in the mouth.

How It Works

The ergonomically designed Powder Meister, with its one-handed, easily rotated powdering tube, utilizes the air supply of the handpiece delivery system to place precise amounts of powder in the most challenging access areas (example). The mesial or distal proximal box of a second molar can now be easily reached and accurately powdered.

The virtually clog-proof Powder Meister eliminates costly time delays of a clogged powder tube. The Powder Meister also saves the expense of purchasing a continual supply of butane cans. These benefits, alone, allow the Powder Meister to quickly pay for itself.

"I love it! I absolutely wouldn't use anything else!"

Male quick-disconnect

Handpiece hose        connection

Installation

The Powder Meister attaches to the air supply of the handpiece delivery system with a male quick- disconnect. The corresponding female connection is installed in the handpiece delivery system and controlled by the foot control. For clinicians not having an existing foot-controlled air supply going to a female quick disconnect, a dental service technician can easily and inexpensively accomplish this installation.

An alternate installation that requires no service technician is to use a handpiece hose connection. The male quick-disconnect that comes with the Powder Meister can easily be unscrewed from the air regulator/air-line filter assembly and replaced with the handpiece hose connection. This connector is available from either Patterson Dental in the USA and Canada or Halas Dental in Australia.

"A vast improvement. This device fixes the weak link in our system. ."

Powder Meister Accessories

While not necessary for successful use of the Powder Meister, some clinicians prefer the addition of the Powder Keg. This stainless steel holder securely holds the powdering device in an upright position on the bracket tray.

Both the Powder Keg and additional autoclavable powdering nozzles are available through Patterson Dental in the USA and Canada or Halas Dental in Australia.
